I was nervous about how the sophomore book would be after how the 1st book finished. I was not disappointed! Hubert & Jessie kept the craziness going! Good read!

Empty Vows did not quite meet my expectations. While I enjoyed the first book in the series, I found the plot of this book lacking and slow-paced. The story only picked up towards the end, which left me feeling somewhat disappointed.

Empty Vows picks up right where Mrs. Wiggins left off….the same day. It’s not quite as exciting as Mrs. Wiggins, but still a good read and kept my interest. Hubert’s “secret” was a little redundant as it was a big theme in both books with little evolvement.
