I enjoyed this one much more that I expected. Having the book start with a gun pointed at a man handcuffed to the bed gave me the lulz. It was deliciously wicked.

I really enjoyed the author’s descriptive writing style. She just seemed to bring the story to life for me.
I also loved her characters. She really brought them vividly to life.

Stella and Dante both carried the weight of soul crushing guilt. As the story progressed, Stella learned to forgive herself and come to terms that the guilt was not hers to carry. Dante, on the other hand, wrapped his guilt around him like a protective layer.

While there were no surprises with the book, it was still a really good read. I enjoyed it immensely.
