Wow. these just keep getting more intense. Im still leaning more towards Holden than Desmond. As for finding out who Sig really is to Secret, that was a heck of a shock. So many twists in this book, i just inhaled it, it seemed like.

While reading this I had sat down in an uncomfortable position, but did I move? NO! That would mean precious lost reading time. And when it comes to Secret then that is not acceptable. Yes I did start reading this almost the minute I got it, and yes after having slept (evil sleep!) I did start reading again and did not stop.

Secret is as cool as ever. Her life is crap as always as Peyton is on the loose. Her love life is screwed up as always. But I am all Team Des. He is a puppy and I wanna hug him. Holden is, well hot, but nope. He does not do it for me. And now to my confession, it's a dirty secret, but in this book, I can't! Ok, I still have feelings for Lucas! I know, shoot me now. But there they are Lucas feelings popping up again.

The book takes Secret on a trip and shit hits the fan. This is one evil author I tell you. Poor Secret. I have more respect than ever for her. And while on her mission, ohhh the secrets we learn. We learn something about Sig and something about, spoilers darling. Spoilers.

I really can't say anything about this book. It feels like one huge spoilers. But it will give you action, romance and secrets ;)

Read this series.

It like Secret goes out of her way to be as dumb as possible though out Secret Unleashed- she's supposedly trying to hide from peyton but the first thing she does is run off after a notorious rogue
Spoilerwho surprise surprise happens to be working with peyton.
She knows that Peyton wants to kill her but is throwing hissy fits about hiding from him until sig points out that peyton might go after people she loves- what a thought! A bad guy trying to hurt someone by hurting people they care about- revolutionary no wonder Secret didn't think of that one!

Secret's love life is as messed up as ever and she genuinely seems obvious to the idea that Holden and Desomnd aren't enjoying the love triangle either; quote from Secret “I’d thought I was the only one feeling the burden of this three-way love affair, but now here was one point in the triangle telling me it injured him too.” seriously! she thought that two guys who hate each other and love her thought that that was great!?! She's just so self involved.

SpoilerAlso getting pissed off at sig for not telling her that he was vampire related to her is fair enough he probable should have mentioned it, but did she not think to wonder who her father belonged to?

The stupid award has to go to .... Secret! for getting kidnapped- she knows that Sutherland was taken when he was looking for the window but when she's looking for the window she's all "I'll be fine! nothing to worry about I won't even bother calling my vampire buddies through when I use the hidden key to open the mysterious door that Sutherland specifically warned me away from!"

Saying all that I quite liked the rest of the book (when I could forget how much Secret was irritating me!) The plot is bit overused
Spoilerhumans kidnapping supernaturals to experiment on them (we never got any information about why the doctor was actually doing the experiments- yes he's interested but who's funding this super secret lab with staff) , and the government knowing about supernaturals and having a secret FBI department to deal with them

Definitely the most gruesome book of the series - I found parts of it a bit hard to read (I can be a little squeamish.) I agree that the last half was a lot of "filler" but I didn't have a problem with it. I'm interested to see how secret will deal with herself now after loosing hold of her "human" side.

Some interesting new developments unfolded near the end, making me wish I didn't have to wait for the next one!

This book is a definite improvement over the last book. Now that is not much of an achievement though given that the previous book was rather bad in my opinion. I would say that this book puts the series back into the acceptable range but not really much more.

The book starts off rather well. Secret goes on a mission as tribunal member and representative of Sig. She is pretty much back to being her good old bad-ass Secret and the interactions between Secret and various other characters are quite enjoyable reading, especially with Holden and Ingrid. I actually like Holden more and more.

Unfortunately Secret is still rather focused on her love life which continues to drag down things a bit since it often becomes silly and more like an obsession. Even in serious situations it is enough for some nice looking male, or god forbid one of Secret’s lovers, to walk past and her mind wanders away.

At least it is not so dominant in this book as in the previous and the book has a story which is reasonably consistent, does not involve Secret’s lovers, and is actually not too bad. I have to say that the turn of events in the middle of things did surprise me. I am not sure if I really liked the way the plot twisted, I would have preferred some ancient mystical horror to turn up, but it was a rather refreshing twist nonetheless. Whether I like (will like) it or not actually depends a bit on where the author goes with the resulting new situation in future books. One thing that I liked was that Secret finally got to use her werewolf abilities even though it was only briefly.

On the whole the book was much better that the previous one which, as I wrote above, puts the series back into the acceptable range. After the previous book I was not sure that I wanted to continue the series or not but now I think Secret have earned herself one more chance from me.

This is such a fun series. It's not hard to get caught up in Secrets life and the drama it brings as it unfolds. SECRET UNLEASHED kicks off shortly after the events of book 5, a lot happens and it will leave you mentally drained by the end.

Secret always ends up caught in the middle and I love the way she thinks and handles every situation thrown at her. Secret's love life is crazy. There is Desmond and Holden, they are both sexy, supportive, and love Secret like they should. I am so conflicted, I don't know who I want Secret to love! She will just have to continue to love both of them. There were some really scary points in SECRET UNLEASHED. I didn't think everyone would make it out alive and I was right. There is no way that Secret won't be forever changed by the events that occurred. SECRET UNLEASHED also manages to bring us a good bit of fast and hard answers to some of our most sought after questions. Where is Secret's Dad? Who really is Sig and why is he so interested in Secret?

There really isn't anything I don't like about this series. The characters, the flow of events, the plot, the world, it is all well written and keeps me coming back for more. What could possibly happen next? Who knows but I will be on the roller coaster every step of the way.

Honesty I felt like the whole book could have taken place in a couple of chapter instead of a book. The bad man is after Secret so she gets ship out to California to deal with a problem that just happens to involve her father who just happens to have been made by one of Sig children. So Secret and Sig have a closer relationship then we ever knew. I don't think anyone was surprised by that news. Holden and Secret get kiddnapped and tortured by a different bad guy then they get saved and go home the end.
I didn't see any character growth Secret is still a lost cause when it comes to relationships. The reader does not get any new information except about Secret's father. For me it was not worth the read.

God, Secret has the most rotten luck EVER! I hope at least her relationship will work out eventually. There is no reason why they can't become a happy threesome.

Something did bother me though, how come Sig wasn't able or never attempted to find Secret through their connection, dream or whatever.

Also, I am unsure about where this new direction of the story is going...
