An intriguing concept of a female-fronted dystopia, told from the perspective of several well-rounded characters. 
Interlinked and intertwined stories served to effectively build tension. 
I found this book a particularly slow read, but that did not detract from my enjoyment of it.

Interesting premise and implications for power dynamics. The story starts with some real traction, but loses grip in the middle... the wheels spin for awhile and somehow we're at the end.

This book was awful. It vastly oversimplified the power dynamics between men and women. The author clearly has done no research into social psychology and historical examples of matriarchies. The characters felt very trope-heavy and it was hard to want to root for most of them.

I had high hopes for this book but it was incredibly disappointing, I very much do not recommend it.
