I am so blown away by this one. I am seriously crying while I write this review. Ronnie! This is your debut and your writing was absolutely beautiful! The details made this story come alive. The characters were so relatable. I am so so impressed. Well done!

Patrick and Johanna have been best friends since birth and were raised in their families restaurant that they co owned. Six years ago Johanna just up and leaves and takes Patrick's heart with her. Now the family restaurant is on the brink of shutting down so Johanna returns home to help. Patrick is a single father to a sweet little girl. Can they work together to save the restaurant and work through the last six years they have been apart?

I loved Patrick and Johanna together! I loved that we get past memories of them growing up. Their love was built on years and years of friendship and pining and it was so beautiful to see it develop into more. The chemistry was so so good! Patrick was so patient and kind and cared for Johanna in a way that every woman dreams of. Johanna was so strong and resilient and I loved her character growth. I also loved little Lottie too! She was so dang cute! And can I just say I enjoyed Carrie's character too! I loved seeing a great co parenting relationship! About 85% into the book I ugly cried and I didn't stop till the end. This book was so full of emotion and I loved every bit of it and how it was written! Incredible!

This story does discuss anxiety and depression so please just trigger warnings. Ronnie you handled these topics with such care.

Thank you Ronnie for this ARC!

cute story. flashbacks from the past scattered throughout. Patrick is an amazing girl dad and Lottie is the cutest. Some things are overly vague in their descriptions as the story is unfolding that almost makes it confusing. There is good anxiety representation.

I love childhood friends to lovers and second chance. This book did a great job with those tropes and I really enjoyed the depictions of anxiety.
Kinda hated that they didn’t speak for years because of a miscommunication.

This was Ronnie's first book that released and its going to be a series! I don't usually read second chance romance books but i decided to go out of my comfort zone and i was not disappointed.

Patrick and Johanna story is both beautiful and heartbreaking. It talks about mental health problems which i could relate to which makes the story more inviting. I loved that there was flashbacks from their childhood because you got a good understanding of how deep Patrick's love for Johanna was and how long he's been wanting something more.

This book also have spice and let me tell you i won't look at a pool table the same again!

So if you like
-small town
-childhood best friends to lovers
-no 3rd act break-up
-single dad
-close proximity
-second chance
Then this book is definitely for you!
