A good book. I am fortunate enough to have followed Abraham's and The Council through Sara Landon teachings and I know that this is...let's say level 1. It's a good start but it is not the complete picture.
There are good processes, many that I already use daily.

for just over three years of my life i have been actively researching and taking an interest in spirituality (namely shifting realities) and manifestation is something that i have especially been looking into recently. this book gives a simplified version of manifesting, yet it doesn't seem to be able to truly explain the actual process of manifestation. to use the analogy that i gave to my mum: if a doctor gave you pills and said "this will cure your illness" a lot of people would want to know what those pills did. how do they cure my illness? do they get rid of bad bacteria? strengthen my immune system? etc etc. if you're someone who would want to know how pills actually take action in your body, this is not the book for you. nafousi goes on about high vibrations, gratitude, affirmations, hard work and more and says that this will get you your manifestation. she is giving you the pills and the end goal but is not actually explaining what happens when you manifest.

manifestation is not bringing something into existence, its accessing something that is already there, there are infinite realities where an infinite amount of things are happening and we can access them all. this is what you do when you manifest. you are affirming that you have this thing and then you attract it because you have shifted your awareness to a reality where you have that bank balance or job or partner.

nafousi discusses affirming and high vibrations which are things that are helpful while manifesting, a good mental state is key. yet she goes on about working hard towards something, which yes is important, manifestation should not stop you from working hard for your goals but it is not entirely essential. the law of attraction states that "energy precedes manifestation. as such, positive thoughts may bring positive results into a person's life, while negative thoughts bring the opposite" meaning you do not need to actively work towards a manifestation, it is possible just to attract it.

nafousi briefly mentions a comparison between the law of attraction and manifestation saying that the difference is that manifestation is active and law of attraction is passive, which yes, in in a way true. but also, law of attraction is one method of many that comes under the umbrella of manifestation, you can't simply separate one law and label everything else as manifestation when theres hundreds of many different methods under that umbrella. regardless, on the same page she mentions aligning your behaviour/energy to the thing you want and says this is what makes manifestation different from the law of attraction. that's incorrect. aligning your behaviour is a key part of the law of assumption which ties in with the law of attraction. while the law of assumption involves us practicing new thoughts and actions that make us feel like we already have our desired outcome, the law of attraction focuses on attracting the desired outcome to us. both of them need us to align our behaviour/energy to believe we already have that thing and therefore we attract it in abundance. nafousi tells us the key difference is actually something that is one of the closest ties between the two laws.

like i said before, if you want to know the science behind manifestation this is most likely not the book for you, there are small mentions of the science but none that are enough to truly label it as a scientific exploration into the process of manifestation. she mentions that quantum physics says that we are all energy, simply with different vibrations and that to attract something we must have the same frequency as that thing (see: the law of attraction) which is absolutely true. to be able to access a reality where you have that dream job you must first align your frequency with a reality in which that dream job is yours. i could write a whole essay on how the 4D (aka your imagination) is prominent in this debate, sadly its hard to explain fully yet briefly in this review, but i digress. the mention of quantum physics is one of few concrete scientific pieces in the book, which as i said, is fine if you don't want to know the process of the pills, but if you do, then its probably not the book for you.

maybe i was just looking in the wrong book, 150-ish pages probably isn't enough to truly explore the compelling and (not so) complex science behind manifesting. regardless, in my experience the book leaves a lot to be desired.

I don't normally read "self-help" type books, but several creative friends recommended this book to me so I finally purchased it for my business partner and I to read together.

Full transparency, I did not finish the book, In fact after the second chapter I more so skimmed through for pieces that were of interest or impactful.

With that said, I cannot recommend this book enough for creatives and others who might need help truly visualizing and applying themselves to their vision. I have learned so much about how I show up for my visualizations (manifestations) every day and learned a handful of tools/ thought processes along the way.

Such a treat to read!
