I loved this book so much, the characters, the setting, and the humor. I looked forward to listening to it whenever I had the chance. It’s a delightful English vacation in a book!

Exactly what I needed right now. Although. Deeply unsatisfied with the typo on the last page.

Listen. I jumped around the book. I knew how it would end. It’s cliché. Would’ve been a good book if the plot wasn’t so done before.

Parents dead? ✅
Going to a different country to relive/see their story?✅
Meets two guys? ✅
Second guy is always the endgame?✅
Cliché?✅✅✅✅✅✅

It’s not even foreshadowing it’s just been there seen that done better.

This book didn’t keep me entertained. Laura (the main character) is unlikable and seems to live in this bubble of what she wants and believes is right and she won’t listen to anyone else. Although I personally believe in fate, I’m also very logical and it just came across that Laura never deeply thought about anything.

The storyline was also really predictable (as it is with most romance novels) but because the main female character didn’t interest me, I struggled to finish this book. Took me almost a month when I can usually finish books in 1-2 days.

Ted, Gerry and Sandy were the redeeming characters in this story and I loved them. Dee and Vanya were also nice additions, especially because they seemed like the “angel and devil” on Laura’s shoulders.

It was just alright. I mean the story idea was cute but I would have done SO many things differently. There were just so many goofy and unrealistic things that happened or were so cringy. And there was SO much detail about things, it was so long and there were so many side characters they gave so much time and dialogue to that I just didn’t care about. I needed more love, less detail.

Super cute and laugh out loud funny! If you get the audiobook, the narrator is brilliant!

I was expecting this to be more of a rom com than it truly was. It felt more like a women’s fiction book. Lots of focus on family stuff. There were a lot of sad things going on as well. Laura’s journey was cool to watch though. I loooooved Ted. I wanted so much more from their romance.
