Pretty hit or miss. Really liked some of the stories and didn’t care for others. This was my introduction to David Foster Wallace’s writing, and if nothing else his prose is certainly interesting. Still deciding whether or not I actually like it, but I did quite enjoy the dry, ironic humor peppered throughout stories that tend to deal with pretty heavy topics. I’m certainly intrigued by how his writing works in novel format.

I can't tell if I enjoyed this one just because I enjoy DFW's style so much. I listened to it partially on audiobook, which I think was a mistake. I don't feel like DFW is meant to be heard spoken, I feel like his stuff reads much better on paper, if that makes sense. There were certain stories I really enjoyed, and others I wasn't a huge fan of. Am definitely interested to potentially reread someday (no audiobook) and look into more of his short stories.
