I think this is another “book-tok” author. So far book-tok is pretty good at awful recommendations and they all have a similar feel. Truly terrible dialogue and story lines with a lot of sex.

There were so many parts of this book that didn’t work for me. I loved the idea of the bounty hunter with a second grade teacher. I thought this would be a goofy fun time, I was wrong. I liked Taylor and Jude as characters but thought that Myles and Taylor were cringy together. I found myself asking “Why???” so many times. I feel like there was just one too many things going on so none of it got the attention it needed. The mystery element takes a back seat and only seems to pop up when it is convenient, just to remind us that it is happening. The trauma that Myles went through that led him to become a bounty hunter seems to be there to act as an excuse for why he’s so overbearing (and a general ass). Even with the romance, everything was on such a short timeline that it just felt rushed.

I can’t believe how long I’ve been sleeping on Tessa Bailey. Never again! Auto buy author from here on out!

4.5 stars for all the feelings, humor, and spice.

My husband overheard this audiobook and asked why the male lead is obsessed with his own penis. This book fails at being an interesting or satisfying mystery. The plot seemingly only exists to barely connect together mediocre sex scenes, and it does that poorly. I love romcom, I love mysteries, and I love smut. This book was not worth my time or money.

This was okay-the story was cute but the mystery aspect was overly simple and kind of unnecessary, it was barely a part of the story and when it concluded I thought, oh, that’s it? Okay
