Audio ARC received in exchange for honest review. Thank you dreamscape media and Mia Sheridan.
Archers Voice was such a good book, one that I would definitely go back and read again. So when I saw Falling for Gage on netgalley I jumped at the chance. The narration was utter perfection for this book. I was hooked from the very first page of listening.
Rory and Gage's chemistry is off the charts, I loved them together. They had banter between them which I always love. I loved the laugh out loud moments between them, they clashed sometimes but it was so fun to read.
I loved the little glimpses of Archer and Bree we got. I would totally read another book about bree and archer.

Thank you, Netgalley, and the publisher for an ARC of this book.

This book was all over okay for me. I did like it, but I also struggled a bit. The fact that there was a subplot to make it more slow burn that lasted for almost half the book didn't help and felt unnecessary.

I did really like the last 20 ish percent much better. The plot was more interesting, and we got all the answers. This book can be read as a standalone but is related to other books by this author.

The narration of this book was really good, and the narrators were a good fit for this story.

Rory and Gage meet after Gage’s car breaks down and he and his friends end up in the bar Rory works at. They spend the night together but go their separate ways the next morning, thinking this was a one-time thing and that they wouldn’t see each other again.
But Rory’s search for her father takes her to Gage’s hometown, and they are thrown together again to figure out who her father is.

I listened to the audiobook for this, and I do really love audiobooks. But I’m so bad at finishing them, they always take forever, no matter if they’re good or bad. And this one was really good!

Gage had it bad for Rory from the very start, which isn’t necessarily my favourite especially if the heroine is also immediately into the guy. But I was okay with it here because it was more like insta-lust than insta-love. Rory and Gage had great chemistry, the sex scenes were fine, and I really enjoyed their dynamic for most of the story. The mystery about her father was entertaining but drawn out a bit too long.

Overall, I really liked this story and would have given it 4 stars, if it wasn’t for this one thing that happens, that was just so weird to me. I wish this would have been left out entirely, or at least dealt with more quickly.

I’m going to explain what I mean below to avoid spoilers, even though I don’t really think it is that much of a spoiler. But just to be sure, if you don’t want to know anything more than what I’ve already talked about, don’t continue.

Spoiler:
Again, I would have given this 4 stars, if it wasn’t for the whole ‘we had sex, but maybe we’re also siblings’ thing that was so weird and unnecessary? Like, Rory’s reasoning for this was a stretch at best, but I guess there was a possibility. And despite that possibility, they were still lusting after each the whole time while they waited for the DNA test results, like wtf..

Thank you to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for this advanced audiobook copy. The narration was amazing. Maeve York and Benjamin Sands truly brought both this story and these characters to life while evoking the desired emotions.

I loved the entire premise of this story with the exception of two factors, which honestly, are two of the issues contributing to most of the conflict within the story. So I understand and appreciate why they were used, however they weren't my favourite plot devices.

*spoilers ahead about those two plot devices*

I have read one other book where there was concern post-hook-up that the two main characters may be biologically related, except they're so drawn and attracted to each other that they can barely restrain themselves from jumping one another's bones even though they know there is a chance they are related. Obviously we know this isn't the type of book where they would end up actually being related, so as a reader I know they're not related while reading along, however - this still isn't my favourite plot device to develop tension and create some physical space between the characters after they have already hooked-up.

The other plot device I didn't love was the fact that he had agreed to considering a marriage of convenience with another woman and continued to keep that option open even when he was clearly falling for the MMC.

That said, I really loved the mystery surrounding who the FMC's father was. I had a theory on who he was and was way off base. I love a book that can surprise me. I also adored the cameo's from Archer, Brea, Travis and Haven and how they were tied into the story.
emotional funny hopeful

I adored Archer's Voice and a little Archer appearance in this one made my day.

Rory and Gage.  From their initial encounter the sparks flew.  Were there obstacles?  Oh yes, galore!  But that was engaging and entertaining, and I was rooting for them.

The narration was well done and really brought this story to life.  The banter was enjoyable and, despite it taking forever for Tate to share his feelings, I loved their story.

Thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for an ALC in exchange for my honest review.

Thanks to NetGalley for the arc!
I fell in love with Mia Sheridan’s writing after reading Archer’s Voice. I loved this book! While it is pretty much a stand alone, it was so fun to have the little snippets of the couples from her other books in this! This book was fast paced, had some twists in it, and I was sucked in the whole time dying to know what happened. Loved this!!
emotional lighthearted relaxing slow-paced

My first book by this author and certainly not my last.
I really liked the writing style and the characters. There's a lot of tenderness between Rory and Gage, right from their first meeting and despite the hardships that separate them.
It was a very sweet story, despite the omnipresent angst.
I also really liked the ending.
