Of course I enjoyed the parts where a garbage man like Harvey Weinstein was finally brought down. But so much of the book felt self-congratulatory, like Farrow single handedly fought for all sexual assault survivors. I listened to the audiobook and the voices were incredibly condescending. I guess I recommend it? But only for its value in exposing how high up corruption goes. Do not listen to the audiobook

I listened to the audio book. It's refreshing to see Farrow put not just the perpetrators but basically NBC on blast for being unwilling to stand up to powerful predators. Farrow has lots of interview transcripts (I found the voices in the audio book to be a little distracting) hammering home just how pervasive this behavior is. The story was a bit long for me and would have been more satisfying to hear more of the fallout from the coverup decisions.

Farrow’s account of the perilous journey to expose decades of abuse by serial rapist Harvey Weinstein and the subsequent scandal at NBC who tried to quash the story. Must read!

Wow! I got chills at the end. Very well-told. Must read. Ronan's reading of the audiobook was also great. Loved the voices he did (lol).

Harvey Weinstein just started his 23-year sentence. Need I say more?

Powerful and intense. Long read but worth it. Made me angry, but I enjoyed being informed of the situation. What got me through the first half was knowing the guy is serving 23 years. But he deserves a lot worse.

Good book. The first part was very compelling. You can tell that Ronan Farrow is a brilliant writer. He adds funny/interesting turns of phrase to make the story read like a novel.

The middle is a little boring, but it has to do with how he got all the information that he did, so it's useful. And the end is really interesting again.

It can be hard to keep everyone straight sometimes because there is a large cast of characters.

Also, if you haven't read it and you do, Jonathan is Ronan's boyfriend. I think the editor forgot that not everyone knows the author's personal life, and the first time he mentions taking to Jonathan on the phone there is no mention of who the person is... Just "I called Jonathan and we talked about....."
You can get it from context clues later on, but the first time the relationship between them is named is like 3/4 through the book.

A good book though!
