I love Sherlock Holmes. I know ACD didn’t intend to make him so funny but he’s literally iconic. I loved that this was a collection of short stories rather than one big mystery. So nice to read a story that gets to the point and doesn’t have to go through plot twist after plot twist to keep the reader engaged. My favourite short of this book was definitely The Read Headed League. Genius!!!
Finished listening to the Stephen Fry audio book in 2017 after reading the book a few years earlier. An enjoyable listen and some of the stories are great, others less so. Would read again! A great collection of short stories.
It has been a long time since I read Sherlocke Holmes. I think that I enjoyed it more now than I did when I was a teenager. I like that the cases are solved with logic and are not gory and gross. Since it was a bunch of short stories, I was able to read one or two at a time. That worked very well for me at this busy time of year.
