I found this challenging to get into initially, as the sentences were structured to be very long-winded. However, as I persevered, I got more and more into the story and ended up hooked 😳

I constantly felt like I was on edge reading it and I didn’t know how it would end until the final page. When a story grips you like that, it’s hard to stop reading!

It gives me such Handmaid’s Tale energy too 😫

I’m giving this 4 out of 5 stars, thank you ✨ I will also include the content warnings below 😢

This is a dark, yet realistic take on modern day authoritarianism...told through the story of the wife of a teacher union leader ...who also happens to be a molecular biologist. Sickening, enthralling, and important.
