The book was very fun and very engaging. I feel with YA fantasy you end up with very plot driven stories. Of course, there are exceptions, but this is not one of them. Although I will say, just because this is plot driven, doesn’t mean it wasn’t good, because it definitely was.
Since the story contains an heavy adventure plot, there was still quite a bit of character development as a result. And in general, you’re always kept guessing, which is imperative for a fantasy.

Just was not vibing with these characters. The FMC was kinda boring and the MMC was an alcoholic with greasy fingers (I mean EW). Decided there were too many other books I wanted to read instead.
