This is the third installment in the Dark Sparrow series and India Kells did not fail to deliver another incredible story! This is the story of Kai and Isabel. Kai and Isabel met years ago in Hawaii, fell in love, and Isabel just disappeared. Isabel is thrown back into Kai’s life as him and his bastard brothers are determined to take down his father. Isabel is a strong self-made woman but is terrified of Kai finding out all the secrets from her past. This author does a fantastic job drawing us into the story. Even though Kai and Isabel are the main focus, all the brothers make an appearance, yet the story is very balanced. I am ready for the next book!

Isabel Osborne is a woman entrepreneur extraordinaire, she runs her own PR crisis management business and it is a tight ship, but she is always busy and that doesn’t leave much time for anything else and Kai Jones is a blast from the past she would rather not ever see again, not for a bad reason, but because of the past she escaped from after he knew her. Kai is a former Delta Force operative who has seen and done his fair share of bad things, but nothing affected him more than the one who got away, but when he comes face to face with her again, it is the last thing in the world that he wants.
As Isabel listens to the outline of what they want from her, mainly her knowledge and connections within the Chicago movers and shakers, to keep an eye one in particular, what they didn’t expect was for them to meet so quickly, as the man in question had already made an appointment to meet with her about working with him, this is an opportunity nobody can pass up, so they make the necessary arrangements and put them into place more quickly than she could have veer imagined.
When she comes face to face with the man in question, she realises that appearances can be quite deceiving, but she is determined to see it through to the end and so states that she will be in touch through her lawyers once they have looked through the contract and given their opinion. Meanwhile, Kai is trying to get to grips with his feelings for Isabel since she crashed back into his life, but he is struggling to keep a lid on them and cannot resist her, just like the time they spent together in the past, but they are both so different now that it may be an obstacle.
As Zoe is drawn into working more closely with the man they want to being down, attacks begin and other unsavoury things start to happen, so when Kai ends up being her appointed bodyguard, they struggle with the feelings it digs up as well as the questionable motives and moves her new partner is trying to pull on her makes everyone uneasy. Will they be able to dog out the information they need to being him down, or will their digging just lead them further into the rabbit hole? Can they all stay safe and protect each other as the stakes rise and the danger increases, or will they becomes the next victims of the plot? This is another romantic suspense which will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout as you read along the path they all travel to get to the conclusion of the story.

I love, love, LOVED this story!! This isn’t the first book that I have read by this author and I absolutely love her writing. Her stories are always exciting to read and always have that spicy romance to them and Wild Bastard was no exception. From beginning to end I was completely hooked on the story and I fell in love with the characters straight away.
Isabel was a great female lead – she was strong, independent with a great stubborn side to her! She was my perfect leading lady! I loved Kai as well and I thought that he and Isabel were great together! I really loved finally getting to read their story! It was everything I wanted and more!
I love a second chance romance story and I really was rooting for these two the whole way through! If you haven’t read any of the books in this series then I highly recommend reading them however this one could be enjoyed as a standalone also.
I cannot wait to read more from Ms Kells in the future she is a wonderful author and I love reading her work.

Sad to say this isn’t my favorite of the Dark Sparrow stories. I almost felt Kai was a bit too soft hearted. I don’t feel that strong/alpha man vibe from him at all nor did he seem too wild. There are some intense situations here and if it wasn’t for his brothers I am not sure how it would have turned out. Isabel is a strong female character. She did a good job overcoming her past and coming out better for it.
I DO feel for Kai in this one! Although I don’t know whether to be mad at him or Isabel for this situation they repeatedly find themselves in. Yes her past could be an issue but it could be overcome... if it happens going forward it would be pretty hard to swallow. So I can’t believe there wouldn’t be another way. Cryptic, I know, but I’m trying to not give spoilers.
I loved seeing and getting to hang out with Zoe and Archer! They along with others from previous books make great appearances! We get to know more and more of their characters. This is a wonderful and helps me connect with characters through the books. Plus gives me insight to the remaining brothers.
I loved the idea of this book but I just couldn’t love it like I wanted. Maybe it was the first love mixed with the seedier side just didn’t mesh for me. Too opposite.. not to worry I will check out future books to see what happens to some of these characters.

This is the third book in this series, it can be read as a standalone. You won’t regret picking up the previous two books as well. This is a well written story that the suspense left me sitting on the edge of my seat and turning pages until the end. Isabel and Kai have a history and after 15 years fate has them come face to face again. Will Kai be able to let go of the past so they can have a second chance? A story of finding love and trust, I highly recommend this book.
Author India Kells does it again. This book was top notch. Isabel and Kai have met before and fell in love until she left without notice. Isabel had her reasons. After 15 years they are face to face again, pain and lost love brings back hurt and remorse to Isabel. Isabel is the black sparrow in this story and is put in close proximity to Finch. Finch wants to become Mayor of Chicago and enlists Isabel's company to handle his campaign. I can not believe what happens in this book. Finch is worse than I ever thought. This story was a turning point in the series. I can’t wait to see what is going to happen in book 4. If you haven’t read this series, It is a must read.

Wild Bastard is the third book in the Dark Sparrows Series by India Kells. This is a HOT, suspenseful, dramatic and gripping second chances story- full of danger, action, chemistry, secrets, twists, revenge, an evil adversary, drama, intrigue, and romance.
This book is a real page turner, I couldn’t put it down and ended up devouring it in only a few hours. The story was really well written and has a multi-layered and complex storyline that was deftly woven into an exciting and incredibly entertaining read. There were a lot highly charged situations that occurred throughout the story, keeping me flipping pages to find out what would happen next.
I have been waiting for Kai and Izzy’s story to release, so I had pretty high expectations- but I needn’t have worried, because Ms. Kells didn’t disappoint and delivered everything I could have hoped for…. and more! I love Kai and Izzy- they were fantastic and drawing me into the story, and pulling me along on quite a ride!!!
I really recommend this story! You are sure to love it just as much as I have.
I can’t wait to see what she does next!!!

Wild Bastard is the 3rd instalment in the Dark Sparrow series by India Kells. Each book can be read as a stand-alone although characters do re-occur in subsequent books, so if you plan to read more than one book then I’d advise to read them in order to avoid possible spoilers. I’ve loved the books in this series so I would definitely advise that you do read them all.

Wild Bastard, the third novel in the Dark Sparrow series, is gripping! Kai Jones, the laid back one in the crazy Hawaiian shirts, gets a blast from the past when Isabel Osborne walks back into his life. Isabel is a force all her own with a past she would rather keep to herself. I simply loved this story. Kia and Isabel are like magnets, it only takes a flip to repel or attract. I am so happy I have another book to read in this series!

This is my 4th book by this author and my 2nd in this series, not sure how I missed the first one but that is an easy fix :)
This author has a style of writing that lures you in from the very first chapter and she places twists and turns throughout that you seriously don't see coming and although most are not life shattering, throw your kindle kind of twists they still pack quite a punch and I love love love that.
The anger displayed in the beginning of this story was completely justified on one side and completely understandable on the other once I knew the whole story. I love these books and the continuing story going on with some new people added to the mix in every book.
I love the connection between these brothers even if everyone of them are so very different and I already can not wait for Liam’s story and did I read that last part correctly? Sister? I can't even imagine where this one is gonna go and what needs to happen to bring the evil down…
Love these books and can't recommend them high enough and really anything by this author is an absolute must read!
