I think I preferred Anatomy to Immortality. That said, this was still a solid book. I appreciated that the romance didn't overtake Hazel's narrative. I do still think some characters deserved more than what they were given, and there were some storylines that felt a little rushed or inconclusive. Regardless, loved this duology.

I fear I will never get over them. And, yeah, maybe I was too harsh on the little Swedish dude, but Jack Currer is THE MAN. I wish real Scottish boys were like him (sigh). This book was so entertaining and special to me personally. I feel bad for my sister, who will have to listen to me rant about this duology for the rest of my life because I know I'm going to be insufferable. This book was so entertaining, and I loved the ending so so much, but i NEED MORE! Im just so devastated it's over because I love them so much

After reading the first book in this duology, I was really curious about this second book and it did not disappoint! I loved everything about this book. The characters, the secret society, the royal court, the mystery and how the characters are growing and learning throughout the book. I also really loved the ending. I was not entirely sure where this story would go, but I eventually closed the book with a huge smile on my face!

While I didn’t like this one as much as the first one, I still very much enjoyed reading about Hazel and this whole universe in general. The stakes weren’t as high in this one, and there wasn’t an overarching mystery. There were a couple twists and turns, but, like I mentioned, not as good as the first book. However, the author can keep writing about Hazel and her adventures of trying to become a surgeon and her life with Jack and I’ll simply eat it up every time. Her writing is just so addicting and .. EASY for lack of a better word. It’s easy to just get lost in the pages. Overall, this was the weaker half of a very enjoyable and strong duology. Would still very much recommend!

This book has been good. It didn’t end how I would’ve liked or expected it to but it wasn’t bad.
I don’t really have much to say about this book. It was beautifully written and very easy to read and I enjoyed reading this one.
