This was my second Fiona Davis title, and I loved it! The alternating timelines were done so well, and I enjoyed seeing how the stories would connect. Darby was such a unique character, and her POV was my favorite. The Barbizon seemed like an interesting place. I enjoyed Davis's mix of real and fictional events, especially with the twists toward the end of the book. This was quick-paced, and I felt invested in the story the whole time. I'm looking forward to reading more of her backlist!

This one took a bit for me to be emotionally be involved in. First half i just couldn’t focus with the back and for math in time. Then…. The last 2 hours of a 9 hour listen…. Worth it. A good wrap up to all the storylines and happy year.
Would i go back and relisten? No. But not a bad one
