Just did not hold my interest. The wring style was severely lacking and the story was just meh. There must be better books about this topic.

Predictable. Simply crafted. And compelling enough that I finished it in one night. A fun, light read.

Kept me engaged and wanting to know what happened. Recommend.

This was a very neat book of historical fiction, giving me a glimpse of NYC that I didn’t know much about. I’m looking forward to reading more by this author!

I couldn't put it down!

Got a little melodramatic towards the end - not as badly as Searching for Grace Kelly, though. People can't seem to write about the Barbizon without a little soap opera, I guess.

If only Sylvia Plath had made a cameo appearance!

Between 4 and 5 stars for me! Really liked this. Everything felt very realistic and the characters were very believable, like the story followed them (as it should be) instead of them acting certain ways to shape the story. Cool descriptions of the 50s also which was fun to read and realistic (I imagine). Twist at the end too.

Good, a bit drawn out.

The book started off a little slow but by half way I was fully invested in the characters. The ending was a little too cheesy but overall a good read.
