A great feelgood chick flick about a fisherman and a socialite city girl falling in love. Was entertaining and fun.

This was good! I just wish we had more development between the stepfather and Piper I also wish that Brendan had done more groveling. Like why wasn’t Piper mad that he completely didn’t believe in her. Yeah he apologized which I liked but I feel like Piper didn’t give any pushback.

Wow did this book take a turn. The first few chapters i wasn’t sure why people loved this book. Piper really frustrated me with her spoiled arrogant personality. Great character growth. And Brendan??? Wow i need to find myself one of those. Very excited for the movie, i have high hope it brings back all the 2000 rom-com feels with a touch of schitts creek.

2023 reread on audio - Just as fun the second time around. I will say the audiobook itself wasn't my favorite, but still a great book.

Wonderfully written and easy to immerse itself in. The flow is perfect.

Piper is really annoying at the begging of the novel. Like, REALLY annoying. But as the book progresses she grows on you. Brendan is a perfect book boyfriend!

Love all the nature based similes, metaphors, and analogies. They feel very Westport and well thought out. I like that they’re not it run of the mill comparisons slapped into the book. The author took care to form them and write them to fit the novel.
