While some sentences are a little... preachy isn’t the right word, because they’re correct. Some sentences take me out of the narrative, is actually what I’d say.

But it’s a lovely, clearly heartfelt book that I’d read over again.

Loved it, Addie was - and is - a very real character to me. Everyone should read this book.

A wonderful (own-voices as the author is autistic) children's book that centres around the marginalised character - Addie who is an autistic young girl with a sharp, clear, and empathetic voice. She becomes very interested in the witch trials and wants her Scottish town to dedicate a plaque to the women who were murdered. The writing style was simple, yet full of emotion - and so very accessible.

Very important book that made me cry a lot. As an autistic person I've never read a book that represented me so well.
