Ugh. So mad I finished this. MC was absolutely insufferable and her mind journey was a slog. I think I was hoping for a redeemable  ending so pushed through. Alas it sucked too.

If you’re unsure just read Disappearing Earth! Super fun to read a Salish Sea story, but I didn’t love this. I loved the ferry scenes though.

I did not expect for one moment that this book would be so sad until the moment it became a tragedy. It sure was gorgeous, though.
