No esperaba nada de este libro. De hecho creí que no me gustaría, pero lo disfruté bastante. Incluso logró ponerme emocional (se me salió la lagrimita) en un par de ocasiones.

The premise is really good and I enjoyed reading it, but there were too many plotholes and a lot of the characters were one-dimensional or just annoying.

I really enjoyed the story. I think my only hangup was the writing in some parts. It's not bad, but different than what I've read before.

For the spice, it is definitely spicy. But I'm indifferent to it. In my opinion, if you took it out, it wouldn't change much of the story. (But I'm also a sucnot bad, more sexual tension and a slow burn)

sue me, i loved this. it was fun! yes a few things annoyed me like the time jumps and i was a bit like ok come on violet like you're about to die but lusting after this man? but it was FUN. i inhaled it over 5 days - the amount of hate the book gets i almost feel awkward to be like i really enjoyed it lol

Obviously I loved it, but honestly I couldn't stand hearing the kiss and spicy scene noises in my ears, this is probably a personal preference but it affected my enjoyment of part 2 a lot. Of course, I love Xaden's voice actor, I really enjoyed the last chapter which was his pov, which was something I hated a lot in the normal audiobook as I really disliked Xaden's voice actor, so yay for that :) I actually didn't
cry this time for Liam
but I did when I reread the normal audiobook, but I think it might just be because I listened to both very close to each other, so it's probably my fault. I really liked the battle scene noises and it helped me visualise the scenes way better with the wings flapping the wind.

Much like a Court of Thorns and Rose's, I found the writing distractingly unpolished for about the first third of the book but powered through because I'd heard such good things. Sure enough, once we got to know some dragons as characters, I was hooked and once the romance spiced up, I wasn't even paying attention to the prose anymore.
I am definitely going to continue the series, especially given the cliffhanger this one ended on.
Fourth Wing is about a girl named Violet whose mother and siblings are bad ass dragon riders but who was training to be a scribe like her father, who unfortunatelypassed away a few years before we enter the story. Her harsh mother decrees that Violet must join the academy of dragon riders instead, knowing full well that Violet's small size and connective tissue disorder will put her at a potentially lethal disadvantage. Against all odds, Violet makes it through both the intimidating entrance challenge and every other challenge the school throws at her, making friends and allies along the way as well as a few enemies. Yet the person she thought would be her biggest threat, the son of the rebellion leader her mother subdued, seems mysteriously drawn to her instead.
By the end of the novel, we cross from individual-level fight for survival to realm-level war and intrigue.
