This was a wonderful book. It didn't seem rushed. This was sweet and steamy, full of romance and passion with great characters that were interesting enough to draw you in.

The Romano brothers are dealing with the threat of a rival mob selling guns in their territory. So they kidnap the rival mob leader's daughter (Alicia) as a show of strength. But Rick doesn't expect to fall in love with Alicia.
And Alicia is falling for Rick too. But she is sure her dad is being framed. So Rick has to figure out what's really going on, while they convince her dad their unconventional match is a good one.

REVIEW:
Another cute one from this series. I started reading Bianca Cole with her Boston Mafia Dons series which featured considerably darker and more questionable MMC's. This series, by comparison, is WAY tamer. The Romano brothers might be mafia leaders, but all three of them are very good and sweet to their ladies.
So the atmosphere of this series is very different than I expected going into it. That being said, I didn't dislike it, but I will say I prefer the darker series' over the lighter ones.
One thing I really liked about this series was the overlapping plots. We had several background plots that ran into the next book and that continued on. And that was nice.
I did like all three brothers -- including Rick. They are tamer than I expected. But they are also sweet and sexy too.
I liked Rick and Alicia together. They had an instant chemistry. I liked Alicia's background being familiar with the mafia world. And I liked how she proved to be kind of a badass in a few instances -- like her proficiency with a gun.
I was happy to see them all get a HEA in the end -- including Alicia's dad, Nick. That was awesome and I was happy to see that.
Overall this series was sweet and pretty light for a mafia romance. But I still liked it. However, as I move forward with more Bianca Cole books (trying to read them in order), I do hope her books transition to that grittier feel that her Boston Mafia Dons series has -- love that so much.

The writing could use a little work. Put more emotion into it. Editing definitely needs to be done as there are words that don't belong in sentences. Some words look like auto correct got ahold of it and changed the word that is suppose to be there. Another thing that kind of annoys me when reading a series, is the same wordings are in every book. Change it up for each story. Yes the brothers are obviously going to think alike but don't repeat phrases. That's just my opinion though. Definitely enjoyed the story line. I did read all three books in the series. I felt the last book had the most emotion

I was looking forward to Rick’s story so much! Loved this. Really interesting plot and loved the spice!
The Queen He Never Expected
It's a fun read with an older, over-the-top alpha that is possessive as all getup. When Alicia was kidnapped, her world changed more than she ever expected. I think this is the hottest of the series. As his brothers feel about the women in their lives, Rick quickly falls hard and becomes insatiable for his queen. The two of them are all oil and vinegar, sass and dominance outside of the bedroom but steps behind that door and *pow* their intensity will bowl you over (and melt your panties). I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

following the 2nd book, the lives and love interests of all three brothers end in this book, where a war is brewing and a young woman becomes the bargaining chip between too powerful dons. its intsa attraction for Alicia and nick. he tries to keep away from her, but fails. with so much unknown and the war brewing, he has to keep his family and his woman safe. great read.
