An enjoyable reading with lovable characters.

The supernatural elements of the plot are very interesting, but felt underdeveloped. The plot itself didn’t seem too cohesive, some aspects of it being rather predictable, and the ending was somewhat anti-climactic.

What a fantastic book! So touching, really display how trans people feel while just trying to be themselves, others dead name them or think less of them as Yadriel went through here, beautifully shown through the lack of acceptance as brujo because he no longer was a bruja. I am so petty that I always wish the characters were too to people who are leas than to them but no Yadriel was always so loving to his family even when they kept disappointing him.
Julian was a delight too, so fierce and loyal and full of love.
The mystery and magic was great too! Perfect for Halloween, I really loved all the things related to Día de Muertos, maybe nostalgic.
And of course the romance between them was so cute! Love them.
Special mention to Maritza who was a great friend and person!
The narration was amazing too! All the Spanish words where pronounced correctly and everybody had distinct voice and accent, I specially loved when Julian would get mad!

The worldbuilding and magic in this world was really cool, especially when things picked up towards the end. The characters were fine but I didn't get super attached to them or invested in their relationships.
also one of my favorite parts of ghost-ish romances is when you have to explain to your friends how you got to know each other while one of you was (kind of) a ghost and we didn't even get that >:(
The plot felt a little slow-paced at times, but it was overall, a quick read
