This is the first Miss Marple that I've read (I think) and I so thoroughly enjoyed it. As expected the mystery aspect is superb, weaving a tale that spans years, leaving the reader little clues along the way that gradually come together in a complex yet simple conclusion. Miss Marple is of course a superb character, perfectly suited to her role as unofficial village investigator, although I'm not totally convinced she would be allowed such a free reign nowadays, mores the pity!
A classic Miss Marple mystery. An easy read but the clues are all there if you’re looking for them. Even if you don’t try to solve it yourself, the book is a great read.
