Not the most compelling Christie for me. The premise itself wasn't that interesting for me, and coupled with the fact that Ms. Marple has bed rest forced upon her makes me sad because she clearly isn't as unwell and unfit as we're made to believe. So I'm glad that by the end of the book, she's thrown all that off because it just isn't as compelling to read Ms. Marple getting all the news delivered to her rather than her snooping around, even if her presence seems a little farfetched in certain situations.
Why does a police officer investigating a murder feel the need to tell all the details to an old woman? Old woman barely leaves house, hardly even plays a role.

This was a good story and twist but a few loose ends were not wrapped up. Also, there are some gender issues which did not age well.
