#7 in the Sweet Valley High series
It follows twins Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield after Liz is in a motorcycle accident with her boyfriend todd and ends up in a coma
The Wakefield parents leave jess in charge of helping her sister readjust but liz seems to be fine until she shows signs of personality change that not only endangers herself but hurts her sister
Its very 80s cali teen soap opera and rated at 12+ which i agree with

My second favorite book in the series.
I love how Elizabeth's personality change gets Jessica back in a way for the awful way in which she normally treats her.
Reading these books again as an adult, I get frustrated with the twins quite a bit: Jessica for being a horribly selfish person, and Elizabeth for enabling Jessica's bad behavior. It did help to read that Francine Pascal envisioned the twins as portraying the good and bad sides of human nature. Given this, the hyperbolic nature of their responses to things is more understandable, and this makes me less frustrated and able to enjoy the series more.

The Sweet Valley Books changed my life in the 5th and 6th grade. My friends and I would coordinate so that we could read all of the books. I remember reading them along with the BSC. As we got a little older, we also got to enjoy the TV Show. I enjoyed these books.

Its different to see the roles of Jessica and Elizabeth switched, but Elizabeths change back was too abrupt.
