Lies by Michael Grant

This was my least favourite instalment in The Gone Series. Grant manages to build the FAYZ world more, with characters like Little Pete, Nerezza, Zil, and Orsay; but the pacing of this book is WAY slower than the others, this is why I found it a bit tiring to read. Nevertheless, the character development in Lies is amazing. Mother Mary feels like a real person with real problems, the Human Crew (they majorly suck) feel like real immature children. I really liked the personal problems the characters had to overcome.

As for the plot, as I said, it’s a bit slow. Since the story takes place in less time than the other instalments, the focus on every little thing every time something happens gets tiring after a while. The final battle, I might say, was epic. I loved it. I really can’t wait to read the next book!

Not as good as the others in my opinion but still a great read.

I'm keeping this short since it's 4 a.m.

I'm marathoning the series and I gotta say, Michael Grant has greatly outdone himself. I've really relished this book. In my opinion, this was by far the best book in the series (my opinion might change after reading the remaining books, who knows?). This book made me love Sam even more and hate Drake even more. Overall, this is a thrilling, thought-provoking and adventure-packed novel that disrupted my normal sleep routine. So excited to read the fourth installment!

YEEEH I finally finish this book. What I want to say... okay, I enjoy it so much, these books were a recomendation from my parabatai so when I saw her really exciting reading that in summer i said, I should read it, and now i am in the third book.

What I liked about this book? Diana and Cain, I really like these two, together

What I dont like? I dont like the thing that Jack and Brianna dont appear so mucha, and I really need more pages where they appear

So i give it a 9/10 and 5 stars

If you are thinking about reading these books really you should do it right now.

Rereading the series, this is as great as it always was to me. Sadly however, I am developing a little pet peeve about the constant and needless recaps.

The story just gets weirder, more ridiculous and more confusing. I don’t think I’m going to continue with the series.

I loved this book for so many reasons. I like how most of the characters are recovering from events of the previous books, and you can really see how hard life in the FAYZ is for them. Caine’s group is on the verge of starving to death, which brings Caine to a desperate, even more cruel, person, just trying to survive. Sam has PTSD from nearly dying from his fight with Drake (and everything else he’s been through) and you can see how that is affecting the decisions he makes. Sanjit and his family are excellent new characters, it’s fun to be on the third book and still finding new interesting people. Zil is so very infuriating and so reflective of many real people would act, which makes him even worse. Edilio is the MVP and I love him. He does whatever he can, whatever is right, even though it often puts him in danger.

Overall, I love the story, I love the characters (even though they’re falling apart), and I love this series. Again, rereading this as an adult makes it even better.
