As a gossip lover I did find this book to be quite intriguing and I enjoyed the little tidbits about his life. I do find him to be a rather un-compelling character, like despite his best efforts I did feel a bit like he was a bit boohoo sometimes. I do feel awful about the whole Meghan situation but just the way he talked about it like it was the worst thing in the world and NEVER acknowledging his privilege was really frustrating. Also him justifying some of the things he did was soooo oh my goddd excuses, excuses just say you fucked up and move on. The middle portion was pretty boring, like there's only so much I can hear about army routines before I'm over it. I liked listening to this in Audiobook tho!!

Wow this was long! I’m glad I finished it though. I would recommend the audiobook as when you’re reading it just feels like it’s dragging on and on.
I was pleasantly surprised by how well-written and engaging this book is. Whether the beauty and flow of the language is Harry's or the ghostwriter (who I don't think is identified), this book was a great read.
I grew up during the courtship of Diana and the subsequent years when she was in the limelight. I adored her and, after the divorce, I was angry with Charles (and Camilla) for making Diana's much-too-short life miserable.
Harry paints a much more flattering view of his father and I now have sympathy for Charles and William. Being a royal seems like a lot of work and having to follow too many rules.

I was surprised how gripping I found this account of Harry’s life, which I listened to him narrate on the audiobook. I kept veering between sympathy for many of the truly horrific ordeals he and all those he loved are forced through by the press (and his tragic background of grief) and frustration with him for a certain air of entitlement that he seems unable to recognise. However, having grown up seeing all the events he describes from the outside, it was really interesting to hear it all from his perspective. A well-written (though not by Harry himself) and intriguing inside into the perils of fame and privilege.

He didn’t claim this to be a detailed memoir of the entire royal family. He has every right to share his perspective and his experiences and I personally found it enlightening to see a more in depth look into his thoughts and insight into how certain issues felt to him, both in his childhood and as he navigated early adulthood under such scrutiny.
While some may claim there are holes in his story, I challenge anyone’s memory to reach perfectly across nearly three decades. Again, I wasn’t interested in a history lesson, I was interested in his personal thoughts and opinions and that’s what he gave to us.
I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for the same.
