Season of storms is a book with an unique theme and a really interesting plot idea. I really enjoyed it but I’m not a 100% sure if the writer get all of the potential out of the story and this is why:
The characters
I liked the characters, I thought that thy were well rounded and very real. I didn’t really like the fact that all the relationships are already established in the beginning of the book but that’s a choice that the writer made for the story to progress early on. So I understand why it was needed.
The plot
Okay before I give my opinion I want to establish that I like this book, I really do and I would have like to read it either way but I personally feel like the author started the book at the wrong point in time. I think that it would have been better to start with Jack becoming a season. Training and learning his skills and then following the winters by the year and seeing how he falls in love with Fleur even though she kills him every time, the book could then have ended with the escape. That would have given us an better understanding of there lives as seasons and the book would have been able to end with a major cliffhanger. From there on you could have written the rest of the book with more patience. I think that would have worked better. More showing and less well telling.

Yes I would, if only for the plot ideas in this book. It’s unique and it’s very enjoyable.
