It feels like being caught in a Spidren's web when reading this series. I find it hard to entangle myself from its pages - well, honestly, I failed. Even harder is for me to leave the book alone for a while, what with the magical adventures constantly turning your mind to the very spot where you've bookmarked. Tamora Pierce, a huge applause for you once again, for embedding my heart in another of your magnificent work.

I'd wished that this would not be the end of the series, but what to do, it is, and there's nothing to do about it. Reviewing it is not as easy as I though it would be, what with my head refusing to believe that this is the end of a story written with Diane as the main character. I'm going to miss you characters badly, until next time I encounter you all again. Sigh, how time flies when reading this fast paced fantasy/ adventure book (the whole series really), what with
Spoiler Falling into the Realm of the Gods, Diane flying on Dragons, enemies becoming allies,
and many unexpected and just as interesting other events (although I feel like I'm undermining something here).

Maybe I'll make a better review next time, after I re-read this series (that's a promise).

A fine end to the Immortals quartet. It pales in the shadow of Emperor Mage, but there is much to like about it. Daine's final confrontation with Ozorne is deeply satisfying. Daine and Numair remain cute to me. I think my biggest criticism of the series upon reread is that a /lot/ is left to the imagination, including important things like character development.

A solid series! I liked the first books in the series more I think, when they were in Tortall especially. Love Tamora Pierce!

This was a great ending to the series! What a conclusion to all the stuff that was happening! Lots of battle scenes and there was some romance that was TOTALLY a surprise! Like seriously a surprise! But still amazing! I loved how it ended and how Daine learned about people and made new friendships. Try good series that is good for all ages! Strong female characters that are diverse and brave! I would recommend literally to anyone and everyone to at least read this series once in your life time. Very quick and easy going!

Solid ending to a solid series with a great main character. I still feel icky about the romantic pairing in this book, but I never seem to think the men in Tortall are good enough for our heroes.

One of my favorite books as a teen.
