This one will be in English, since I read it in English.

"The Memory Thief" is the begging of six books (City of Wishes collection). When I started it I wasn't aware there would be six of it, and I wasn't really aware of the plot.... but, what a ride! I enjoyed it so much.

This is a Cinderella retail that will go on for the six volumes, I really enjoyed the begging: full of magic!

Elle is a human girl enslaved by her stepmother Salvia (who is a fae). Although humans don't possess powers, in this universe, Elle has a peculiar talent: she can erase people's memories. I felt right in the middle of this story, I really enjoyed it and look forward to read the rest of it.

A fun listen though I didn't realize that it was the first part until the end so....😓
I really liked Elle, her motivations were sound, and made sense

I'm not as familiar with the pacing of serial fiction, but this was a propulsive and engaging reimagining of Cinderella. I have one particular suspicion about Dex, but outside of that I don't really know where the plot is going, but not in a bad way. Excited to see where the story goes.

Arielle deLisle did excellent audio narration.

More a 3.5 but I couldn't justify giving it a 4! The series was a grand read but I just felt it was missing something for me.
