Very good. These are great characters, and it's an excellent example of how they can interact. As others noted, the story isn't actually all that interesting, but it's enough to enjoy watching it go by. Delirium was great, and I enjoyed the way Ishtar quit her job.

I could do with a little less of Dream standing still, saying nothing, and radiating GLOOM, but I already knew to expect that so I am not complaining.

Focused and straightforward, Brief Lives takes the reader on a family roadtrip and provides an emotional conclusion to Orpheus's story. Dream feels oddly passive in this album.

I really liked the character development in this one. I also loved getting to see more of the Endless. This one is deep enough that it deserves a reread. It honestly could’ve been a little shorter so I would give it a 4.75. I liked reading the post script. Viewing this story through a lens of change is beautiful.

Favorite quotes:

You lived what anybody gets. You got a lifetime. No more. No less.

One cannot begin a new dream without abandoning the last [one].

Delirium: Um. What’s the name of the word for things not being the same always. You know. I’m sure there is one. Isn’t there? There must be a word for it… the thing that lets you know time is happening. Is there a word?
Dream: Change.
