Heartbreaking, breathtaking and beautiful. A true masterpiece. I felt my heart break a thousand times for Little Dog, I cried with him, I laughed with him, and wondered about how the world worked with him. This is impactful and beautiful, but also so so sad. The tale this book tells isn’t one I can put into words for a review, but can recommend with my whole heart.

this is one of the best books i have ever read. The writing is so exquisite and magnificent it feels like a 200 page long poem. The way the mc thinks is fascinating and so critical yet loving. Truly one of a kind and the story is so captivating and devastating in it’s portrayal of life.

I miss you more than I remember you.

This book is a beautiful exploration of diaspora, family, language, generational trauma, queerness and the relationship between a mother and son.
