Toyed with a 3.75 initially, because at parts the writing was a little bit too abstract for me to understand, but it has to be 4 because so much of this collection were so touching, so uplifting, so relatable. It felt like a hug from my grandmother. The poems on love as well?? earth shattering. Hope somebody loves me like that one day. 

This is perfect for Maya Angelou fans & anyone who enjoyed This Thread of Gold by Catherine Joy White.
