Ashley is one of my favorite MM writers. I'm reading her entire backlist.

She hasn't disappointed me again, not at all. The internal struggles of both were well written and I also loved the bi-awakening.

This is the first book in the series and I am so curious about the other couples.

this was so bad i just had to write a review. this novel is an overwhelming and poorly executed attempt at drama, crammed into less than 300 pages. The plot is a chaotic blend of extreme events that are neither coherently developed nor meaningfully explored. Amidst numerous tragedies, the characters are inexplicably preoccupied with frequent sexual encounters, which undermines the gravity of their experiences. The writing is not only grammatically flawed but also fails to maintain a coherent storyline. Significant events are rushed through without proper resolution, making the characters' recoveries seem implausibly simplistic. Despite its popularity among some readers for its explicit content, this book lacks the depth and sensitivity required to handle its heavy themes effectively.
