It was entertaining and fast-paced but the writing was pretty terrible. I really didn't like the writing style so it took me a while to get used to it and look past it. Everything was very in your face like 'omg he's so hot' instead of keeping things subtle and letting the reader insinuate from the character's actions. It also just read very YA. The characters were supposed to be in their 20s but the way they spoke and acted felt like teenagers. Really disliked all the swearing in the narration, it felt very juvenile.
It's a classic enemies to lovers with all the typical tropes so I ate it up and enjoyed it enough. But it really was just a book of tropes. Nothing really original. I wouldn't say it was a good book.

So fun to read and immerse myself into the world of dragons and riders I haven't read anything like this before so it was a joy to discover this series. So many twist and unexpected turns I cant wait to see where these characters are taken next.

This book is literally just amazing. It’s not a new concept and it’s definitely not revolutionary but I still think that imo it deserves 5 stars. The world-building was lackluster and Violet was more of a mouthpiece for information rather than a fully fledged character but the dragons in this book make up for everything. I have never read a book where the dragons are this likeable. Not only do they crack jokes and actually bond with the characters, but they also very obviously differ from one another. Each dragon has its own personality and is quite unique.
