This small book was a real gut-punch. The only thing that's keeping it from a full 5 stars is that the brevity plus multiple perspectives meant that some pieces of characterization were slightly underdone, but not by much!

I picked up this book because it was on so many recommended lists, including being one of my indie bookstore's staff recommendations! I was REALLY into this read for the first 3/4 of the book and then finished the book unhappy - but it makes sense, so I can't fault the author for it!
