oh my god that ending. PREPARE YOURSELF.
i cannot wait til second year is done and i can read properly again bc i absolutely loved this yet it took me a week bc ive been so tired and busy
 working part time in exam season does not make it easy to read 700 pages. 
this book was so good, i love all the characters sm and all the diversity of them. the malec crumbs made my heart so happy

Hm. It definitely took me much longer to get through this book than it did to get through the first book (Lady Midnight.) 

I feel.. Conflicted. This book made me feel like I was dragging my feet for some of the plot, which I hate to feel. There’s so much action in some parts, but still, it all sometimes felt disjointed. 

Don’t get me wrong, the book was still good. It definitely got me excited for the last book of this series, but… Perhaps it just felt too long? Like the story was dragging for no apparent reason in some areas. Still a solid 4 star novel, I suppose.

This book has so much action it made my head spin. Usually second books in a trilogy are slow and have a lot of set up but not this one. The ending was so chaotic I’m not sure where or how the next book will continue on.
