this is by far the worst book i've read and i am not exaggerating. i've read harry potter and the cursed child, i've found joy in books that most people hate such as the maze runner series, but i cannot excuse this blatant misogyny. this entire book is a thinly veiled straw man argument against feminism. the definition of a straw man from merriam webster is a weak or imaginary opposition (such as an argument or adversary) set up only to be easily confuted which is exactly what happens ever since chapter 5. there are several parts where there are valid feminist ideals that make sense but it's linked in universe with wanting men to be slaves and homeless. and its all because sulky boy tedros said women don't need men to love and don't need men in fairytales at all (i'm literally not joking this happens in the book). i finished chapter 6 and i said out loud "i can't do this anymore" before deciding to DNF it. there are so many notes i made that i'll add on later because right now i'm so angry that this even has a 3.65 average rating. one of the worst parts is that if i were even one year younger i would probably give this a higher rating, or even stuck it out through the entire thing, but because i know what a straw man is i'm lucky enough to see right through the BS. 0 stars.
