I feel very conflicted about this book. I really enjoyed the translation and thought the characters had important things to say, but at the same time, the second half of the book felt quite surface-level and unfinished. I ended up finishing this book and wishing I'd had more. I would still recommend it, as I think it's quite a lyrical and touching book to read, but I wish we'd talked about alexithymia a bit more.
