Hmmm... i really wonder about the moral of the story. It feels anti-disability, either in the way Yun "overcomes" his alexithymia or the way it is questioned if he ever had it. I also thought he would die, and the ending made me wonder if the book is actually made for younger audiences. Other than that, I enjoyed the pondering of human expectations from Yun's point of view.

Read this in one sitting. It was an easy, but impactful read. Interesting perspective to follow and I enjoyed the development of the characters! :D

La historia se vuelve poco realista hacia el final con acontecimientos del “poder de la amistad y el amor”, especialmente con yunjae

siendo curado, (o que nunca estuvo enfermo)

Aunque aprecio las intenciones de la autora, creo que el mensaje que acaba dando el libro es que si eres diferente (tienes alguna discapacidad, condición o trastorno mental) la única forma en la que puedes vivir normalmente es si te “curas” o cambias completamente.

Sin embargo, es una historia corta y emotiva muy hermosa que habla también de las condiciones en las que crecen las infancias y adolescencias y cómo estas pueden influenciarlas y transformarlas para bien o para mal.

No soy buena poniendo en palabras mis pensamientos por lo que se podría malentender esta reseña, tal vez la modificaré en el futuro pero quería dejar una huella de mis pensamientos recién acabado el libro.

Such an easy read year covers such complex topics. Only goes on to show how great the writing is! So philosophical and psychological all at once. LOVED HIS CONNECTION WITH GON but the Dora part felt forced and incomplete & that's the ONLY reason I took off the .5

This book is so sweet and heartwarming. I had heard good reviews on this book and I am so glad I read it as I had never read a book such as this before. I love how it is fast paced and is written in short chapters. Beautifully translated, did not lose its meaning.

the ending is a bit too perfect, but it is a young adult book. The violent scene with Gon came out of nowhere also, but I am glad his mother woke up to see him evolved as she always wanted him to be
