Mixed opinions. On one hand, I think the topic of a main character who doesn’t feel emotions is very interesting, and it’s very impressive on the author to be able to write such a character. I also think Gon was an interesting juxtaposition to the MC. However, I think that having him suddenly gain the ability the feel things after meeting a girl and nearly dying kind of felt like too clean of an ending idk

A magnificent book. I love and am amazed at how well the author could write an emotionless boy. It's one of the few books that disturbed me psychologically.

what a brilliant and captivating book! it was so easy to get caught up in this story (i liked the short chapters!) and despite the melancholy aspects, i think this told a really beautiful story of friendship and the complexity of emotions. (i waited too long to review this so apologies that this review is so brief!!!)
