This seemed promising- but I didn’t find the characters super likeable which is why this storyline fell flat for me. It felt like there were a lot of this happening and thrown in towards the end, so the story didn’t feel concluded and instead felt rushed because there were a lot of loose ends to tie up. I did like the landlord/tenant trope, and would be interested in finding a book with that again.

feels like a high potential wasted — but it was a fast read and some cute moments.

I was definitely drawn to this book at the library by the cover. It took me quite a while to finish this book just due to how bored I got with it. It took a while for the book to
get to the point, but I did I enjoy the concept of the book, in fact, this quote from the book really resonated with me: “You need to stop settling for diamonds in the rough Annabelle. You deserve so much more. You deserve someone who is willing to fix their shit for you.”
The ending did feel rushed by how long the book took to finally get to the point, and the book felt a little predictable.
