Great new start with kitty pride at the helm, and the ever-loving blue eyed thing along for the ride post civil war 2

Not a bad interpretation of the characters, but the art left me flat and the story was completely forgettable and generic. I think I can skip the rest of Bendis on Guardians.

I am %100 a novice Comic reader. And this comic proved that without a doubt!

I typically read full length novels and lots of epic fantasy or horror. Meaning when a book is labelled #1, I expect to be prepared for a clean slate. Comics do not work this way. With so many divergent story lines, #1 is really indicative of the beginning of a plot point rather than a complete package.

If you are new to this series (as I am), expect to be very confused and need to read the subtext.

However, I love the role reversal in this particular comic. Even if the effort was somewhat undermined by the new Star-Lord's relationship with Peter Quill.

Bendis, in my opinion, does Guardians how they should be done.

Sigh. Details were fine. But in general this is typical Marvel space crap. With Kitty Pryde written terribly, but drawn okay except for her face. If they don't have a decent story idea, I wish they wouldn't put out a book. Waste of time.
