Easy to read. I found the introduction to the principles the most interesting. The suggestions for each room seemed impractical and expensive at times.

Needs some editing but it’s fun and insightful

A fantastic, easy-to-understand introduction to the principles of Feng Shui. It gave me and my partner a lot to consider, but I do wish that it went into more detail in some areas and had more activities to supplement the information.

Lots of information in this book! Love his non-dogmatic, and sensible approach to feng shui. The book is also really beautifully designed. Checked it out from the library, but plan on getting my own copy to reference as we try to furnish our place...

This book surprised me in the best way. While Feng Shui often comes wrapped in mysticism and complex rules, Tan's approach feels almost... simple. That's not to say it lacks depth, but rather that it strips away the unnecessary complications to reveal practical principles you can actually use. The tips about furniture placement and energy flow don't feel like ancient traditions - they make such logical sense you wonder why you hadn't thought of them before.

At times, I'll admit, the tiny print made reading a bit challenging - I found myself squinting at some pages. But the content itself is so valuable that I kept going. Maybe that's the ultimate compliment? When a book is good enough to make you overlook its physical shortcomings.

What stayed with me was Tan's clear, friendly voice - like having a knowledgeable friend walk you through your home. And those simple illustrations! They make what could be abstract concepts suddenly click into place. While the book's compact size might be handy for some, I personally wish the publisher had used larger text for better readability.

A refreshing, no-nonsense guide that leaves your home - and mind - feeling lighter, despite the eye strain.
