This is the kind of book that makes you think about your lot in life...and those are the best kind of books.
It sort of made me feel like a little spoilt brat because I've found myself on more than on occasion complaining about my life and this girl has it worse than me.
It's about growing up. About dealing with the life you've been given and not letting it trample you down...it's about finding yourself despite your parents. You are not your parents.
It was a fast read for me, I got through it fairly fast but I found myself stopping every now and then to think about what I've read.

I couldn't put this book down. Like others said before me, I can't believe a male author portrayed the feelings and thoughts of Lucy so perfectly. Worth the read!

Good book, very entertaining. Only problem is that it suffers from the traditional, male-author-writing-a-female-herione syndrome.
