Saying goodbye to this series as well as these characters is so sad. I found so much that I loved in this world, and being done with it so quickly makes me sad, but I'm also very grateful that I picked it up in the first place. I loved The Raven Cycle but I LOVED The Dreamer Trilogy. I really enjoyed seeing more of Ronan and getting deeper in exploring his character than we did in TRC, and I was grateful for the chance to get to know Matthew and Declan more (especially Declan). The new characters were also really interesting and I really liked Jordan and Hennessey and how they mirrored each other but were still so different, and how they each became someone important to the Lynch brothers. Seeing more of Ronan and Adam was a treat, but it also broke my heart a little (a lot) and the end had me tearing up so bad. Blue and Gansey made an appearance!!!!! Extra special treat for me omg.
I just loved so much of this story. Stiefvater has such a voice to her writing and I just loved her way of storytelling. I listened to the audiobooks and Will Patton was fantastic. I love listening to audiobooks for longer series because the narrator feels like a part of the story, and Patton is an excellent example of this. I love his accent and the voices he does for the characters, and the little bits of character he adds like singing some parts. The repetitive parts in this book ("Was he awake or was he dreaming?") were executed so well because he progressively got more and more desperate and alarmed as the droning went on. I just felt like I got that much more wrapped up in the story because of him, which is very special.
I'm already looking forward to getting to return to this series in the future. I can definitely see this one being a lifelong favorite of mine.

I'm dead. This book killed me.
No seriously, how am I supposed to go on without these characters in my life anymore? Without this crazy, beautiful, impossible world Stiefvater has created? Without the intensity and humor and winding unpredictability of the plots? I loved this trilogy. It was in many ways very different from the Raven Cycle that gave rise to it, but the same heart, the same wonder, are there--the hallmarks of Stiefvater's books and the reason they resonate so deeply.

Absolutely love these characters! Absolutely love this series! As soon as I picked it up I couldn't put it down because I just had to know what would happen. Maggie Stiefvater's writing style is the real magic here.
The only negative I have to say is the reveal of the "bad guy all along".This book finally got me to care a little about Carmen as a character, but I certainly don't care about her brother issues. Nathan being alive and the guy Ronan had to beat didn't really fit in with the rest of the story. Also Ronan realizes he is the all powerful creature and almost gets defeated by...some guy. I don't buy it lol. I thought at least Nathan would turn out to be some minor side character that was there all long. That would explain how he knew about Adam and Jordan but nooo but it just goes to show ya, great characters matter more than perfect plot
