Very stressful

Lots better than the second book but, unfortunately, the events of the second book still happened and affected this one so it still left a lot to be desired. There were also things that happened in this book specifically that I didn't like or were simply underdone
Spoiler(Like Adam...I love Adam but...how do you manage to reduce an already well established character to so little?)
, in my opinion. After seven books, I am still not quite used to the writing style.
SpoilerAt least Blue and Gansey were mentioned again....in the epilogue...where Gansey had all of three (?) lines and Blue had none. But their existence was acknowledged!

Very mixed feelings about the ending, mostly because there was a lot of build up but it all got resolved very quickly. I did like the attention to detail when kind of wrapping up things from past books
Spoiler(e.g.. When we find out that the reason Niall always said he didn't remember the day of Declan's birth is not because he didn't care but because he, very literally, did not have that memory in his possession anymore.)
and that we got more context and worldbuilding around the dreamers and Ronan.

This is a real mixed bag. There is good stuff happening with the brothers Lynch but like with the end of TRC there is a real “just end my WIP” feel to the whole thing.

Def worth the price of admission for the relationship between the Lynch brothers.

I can’t remember the last time I not only read a book on release day but finished the book as well! And it was very very satisfying. It was going to be hard to come to a meaningful conclusion after so many years and with such a complicated story/story ideas but I think Maggie did a fantastic job. My only gripe was I didn’t get as much time as I wanted in this book with certain characters but it was still super well done, very emotional, all made sense. All the backstory, I just!!! Also the last chapter was SO MUCH. I love it beyond reason. Love this world, I’m sad it’s over but I can’t wait to come back and visit again.

goddammit stiefvater, you've done it again.

4.5⭐ cuz the ending was kinda anticlimactic but I love this series too much to be too critical of it
