While I do wish there had been a
Spoiler a lot more Ronan and Adam time on page with them both awake, they at least got the happy ending they deserved so I can't bee too upset
.

This book was Declan's and Jordan's. In fact, I kinda feel like this whole trilogy was more about Declan and Jordan than Ronan. I wanted a trilogy about Ronan and Adam and that isn't really what I got at all. So, as a reader, I have to admit I've been a little disappointed only because I love Ronan and Adam so much and really wanted three books dedicated to them.

The Dreamer trilogy is still a good read though, and the fact that it didn't quite meet my expectations in no way diminishes how good the writing and story actually is. I just wanted Ronan and Adam to have more page time.

Um…thoughts to come when I reread. Oh my god.

I so nearly DNFd this, and, tbh, ended up kind of skimming towards the end. The last couple of chapters were a nice pay-off, but the bulk of it was a mess. This trilogy started really well, but went steadily downhill. Part of the problem was having really the most interesting character asleep for about 4/5ths of the book. But... I hate to be unkind, but I think Stiefvater is trying WAY too hard to be cool and is getting progressively more carried away with her own cleverness. I was a big fan early in her career and still think The Scorpio Races is under-rated. And even more so was All the Crooked Saints. But the Raven Boys and even more this trilogy feel like they're being written for an audience, not because they have something really important to say.

I don't know how to quantify my feelings into words. I don't think it's possible. I don't even want to try, because I won't make sense and I wouldn't be able to do it properly.

Maggie Stiefvater is undoubtedly a spectacularly talented author, and she has created a world unlike anything I have ever seen, heard, or read before. I really believe no other series I ever read for the rest of my life will be able to match up to the world of the Raven Cycle. There are so many moving parts to it, and so much magic. Maggie has created an ourobouros of a story that I could never, ever have imagined. The Raven Cycle has always been a thing of beauty to me, and will always remain that way. It will never lose its magic, but The Dreamer Trilogy is something even more ethereal. It changes the entire perspective of The Raven Cycle. It turns the entire world on its head in mind-bending ways. It answers so many questions, and yet still leaves more unanswered.

Maggie's talent for the craft is unmatched. I can't say how much this world and these characters she's created have meant to me for so many years, and how much these stories have influenced my life. All the words in the world aren't enough. I'm just truly in awe. I'm mourning the end of this series and the end of this world, but at the same time, it's unforgettable, and that means it will never truly end.

Five stars isn't enough. It's such a small limit to contain the depths of feeling this series inspires. Too small a number.

I would go back to school just to write an essay on this book and everything it holds. It's not just a book; it's an art piece. It was both everything I wanted and nothing I expected, all the things I didn't know I needed from the end of this world, and it is simply stunning from cover to cover.

It's magic. Pure magic. And it will be a part of my heart forever. But my heart doesn't even feel big enough to hold it.

The Dreamer trilogy doesn’t inspire me quite as much as the Raven Cycle. But I adore these characters still, and there are still moments in this trilogy, and this book, where Maggie somehow manages in that unique way to unplug and re-connect my brain (affectionate).
